I would highly recommend the 200, for anyone buying a first bike or needing a smaller bike great, great job on this one Suzuki.
But Suzuki decided that their small dual sport motorcycle needed to be brough… Perhaps a wider rear tire could improve this (like the Yamaha TW200). I’ve also seen a few conversions of this bike into a supermoto by adjusting the suspenpension and slapping on some street tires. The mirrors were easily re-adjusted and I was good to go again. The Suzuki DR200SE is a great little bike for running around town or for back roads trips. It handles excellent in the city, but only so-so in mud or sand. Sadly there’s no way I’d get anywhere near that with my near-on 100kg weight, long, open road commute and the bike arriving with just 6km on the old school odometer. • We don’t want Suzuki to redesign it, as it’s a basic, light and reliable bike which is great for beginners. Rating. It had been a while since we had seen rain at the farm and, when I saw a big puddle, I couldn’t help but ride through it. I had just come back from a non-bike-related broken arm and was a bit hesitant, but the soft suspension made for a comfortable ride, although it couldn’t stop me from having a few stacks. My wife has never attempted to ride a motorcycle in her life. The multi-plate clutch was smooth and easy to disengage. Got it licensed and insured and started riding it! She has put 600 miles of trails on the bike. It feels at home on the surface streets, or in the dirt with a robust engine with enough torque to get you over the hills or out of dangerous traffic! I have a KTM Super Duke for the street. Being straight out of the box, some of the components were a bit tight. I went a maximum of 80kmh on the road and probably could have gone a bit faster, but I didn’t feel comfortable pushing it. Sure, it’s not the quoted economy, but on the highway, it managed to hold the legal speed limit while sipping a wallet pleasing amount of gas. You can't beat this bike for the price.
